Pierre Guerchet-Jeannin draws his inspiration directly from the landscapes that surround him, which he renders in a deeply harmonious way through interlocking and overlapping layers of colour – warm tones for the most part – in the tradition of Serge Poliakoff. His works invite us into a state of abstract contemplation.

« My painting stems from figuration, from a particular perception of landscapes and the way I look at the built space around me. It is a painting sifted through the two-dimensional surface, one that rejects all trompe-l’œil and offers a work in flat colour. »
