Gen Paul sometimes signs his prints using one of his two pseudonyms: Eugène Lautral (Eugène is his first name and Lautral is a reference to Toulouse-Lautrec) or Paul Trélade (Paul is his surname and Trélade is ‘Delâtre’ in verlan, a tribute to his friend Eugène Delâtre, who introduced him to printmaking), the latter being the one he uses most frequently.
