Maurice DELCOURT
1877 - 1916
Maurice Delcourt is best known as an engraver. He began engraving at a very early age and contributed to magazines such as Remy de Gourmont and Alfred Jarry’s Ymagier and La Revue Blanche. His reputation was established by his woodcuts and lithographs, depicting genre scenes and Parisian life. His paintings and drawings seem to have been placed in private collections very early on, and few documents have survived.
