Fine impression on laid china, from the final state, after the section of the lithographic stone containing four figures, in two plates, and with the signature in the lower right part of the stone, signed with the butterfly, from an edition published to 30 impressions in Art Notes and then to 100 impressions for the portfolio Notes in 1887
This composition represents probably Maud Franklin, mistress of Whistler at this time
