Rare state proof on cream laid paper, probably of the first state (out of 5), before many works in comparison with the impression reproduced by Roger Marx: the hands, the book held by Laroche and the wardrobe are much litghter, the trees behind the window and Mrs Hessel’s hands are very sketchy, slight stains of passe-partout
The volume Cuisine, collection of 117 Henry-Jean Laroche’s recipes, is illustrated by six lithographs by Vuillard, six etchings by Dunoyer de Segonzac and six others by Villeboeuf
