Fine artist’s proof on wove paper, first state (probably of 3), prior to retouching and beveling, signed, monogrammed and annotated 1er état. épr. d’artiste /un seul 1er, then along the lower edge appartient à mme A. Eekman / existe en 3 états seulement – Epreuve avant aciérage et biseaux. Sur rive – 1 exemplaire dans le 1e état, crease in the top right-hand corner, signs of handling in the top and bottom margins, slight creases in the bottom corners, small ink mark in the right-hand margin. On the reverse, tiny spots.
