Fine impressions of the second state (of 3), prior to the addition of Visscher’s address and the correction of names, from the 1585 edition published by Gerard de Jode; edges yellowed; stitching holes in the left margin.
– Othoniel and Ehud, stain near the top right-hand corner. On the reverse, old hinge along the left-hand edge.
– Samgar and Barak, slight dusting and a stain near the bottom right-hand corner
– Gideon and Jair, slight stains in the margins. On the reverse, slight dusting and traces of ink. Watermark: Two-handled pot
– Ibzan and Jephthah, slight dusting and stains in the margins, printing crease in the lower margin. On the reverse, slight dusting and traces of ink
– Elon and Abdon, small stains in the margins. On the reverse, old hinge along the left edge. Watermark illegible.
– Samson and Samuel, light soiling near the top left corner, small foxing spot in the centre of the subject, small stains near the top right corner and in the lower margin. On the reverse, light ink marks. Watermark: two-handled pot
