Preparatory set comprising three impressions, two colour charts and two copper plates:
• Final composition. Colour mezzotint, 275 × 340 mm, fine artist’s proof on wove paper, of the final state, titled, signed, dated and annotated EPREUVE D’ARTISTE IV/XVI, from a total edition of 102 proofs. Reference: Passeron 529 vi/vi
• Decomposition of black. Mezzotint in black, unique proof of the decomposition of black on wove paper, in the final state, signed, dated and annotated 5e ETAT . EPR. DE DECOMPOSITION (NOIR) . Reference: Passeron 512 v/v
• Decomposition of colours. Mzzotint in pink, blue, yellow, green and pinkish ochre, unique proof of the decomposition of colours on wove paper, from the final state, signed, dated and annotated 5e ETAT EPR. DE DECOMPOSITION (COULEUR). Reference: Passeron 512 v/v
• Colour chart. Pastel and graphite pencil, traces of green oil paint, 124 × 253 mm, titled, signed and dated, with the colours numbered and annotated.
• Final composition in reverse and colour chart. Drawing in graphite pencil, pastel and coloured pencil, 275 × 345 mm, titled, signed and dated, with the composition numbered in accordance with the colour chart.
• Copper plate for the black tones. Copper prepared using the mezzotint technique, 280 × 350 mm, dimensions engraved on the reverse with a point, then titled, signed and dated with a roulette
• Copper plate for the colours. Copper prepared using the mezzotint technique, 280 × 350 mm, engraved on the reverse with a point AVATI.
