George Sand developped a method which she called in 1860 « technique de la dendrite », consisting in squashing watercolor or gouache blots onto a piece of paper using a bristol sheet. She would then transform the resulting veins and ribs into landscapes.
This drawing was authentificated on the reverse by the granddaughter of the writer.
