The name Thomas (? – ?) appears among the forty-six other names of artists who took part in the construction of the tomb of François-Léon Bénouville (younger brother of Jean-Achille, who died in 1859), on the initiative of François-Edouard Picot (cf. Marie-Madeleine Aubrun, Léon Bénouville, 1821-1859, Catalogue raisonné de l’œuvre, 1981, p. 14).
