Edouard SAUNIER
Paris 1884 –1918
A cartoonist and illustrator, Edouard Saunier began his career in 1903 at the Supplément de L’Assiette au beurre, Charivari and the newspaper Le Tam-Tam. Between 1908 and 1914, he exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants and also did advertising work under the pseudonym ‘Teddy’. He was drafted into the First World War and died suddenly of Spanish flu in 1918.
