Joseph-François PARROCEL

A painter and etcher, Joseph-François Parrocel was a student of his father, Pierre Parrocel (1670–1739). In 1736, he was in Rome, and upon his return, he was admitted to the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture in 1753. His body of etchings consists of eight works. He is, in fact, best known for his paintings and frescoes, often commissioned for churches.
