Jean-Michel BACQUET
Né en 1956
After studying plastic arts at the Saint-Luc Institute in Tournai, Belgium, Jean-Michel Bacquet entered the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1977. From 1984 to 1986, he lived in Spain, in Madrid and then in Granada, as a resident at the Casa de Velázquez. He has already won numerous awards.
Jean-Michel Bacquet often represents the same landscape at different times of the day or in different seasons. By translating the changing lights, he seeks above all to reveal the permanence of nature.
