Cette estampe ne correspond à aucun des portraits décrits dans l’inventaire de la Bibliothèque Nationale ; en revanche, beaucoup d’éléments concordent avec la description de Firmin-Didot, mais le cadre semble tout à fait différent : il n’y a pas de bordure avec le nom du roi et la signature n’est pas à la même place. Il s’agit sans doute d’un premier état avant modification profonde de l’estampe.
This print doesn’t correspond to any portraits described in the inventory of the Bibliothèque Nationale ; but, a lot of elements concord with the description of Firmin-Didot, but the frame seems to be different : there is no border with the king name and the signature isn’t in the same place. It’s maybe a fisrt state before a radical modification of the print.
